Kaomoji is a popular Japanese emoticon style made up of Japanese characters and grammar punctuations, and are used to express emotion in texting and cyber communication. Unlike emojis and other emoticons, Kaomoji cover a wide variety because Japanese and other Asian languages use Unicode characters, the number of characters available is much greater than in Western languages for which ASCII characters are used. This multiplies many times the number of possible combinations to form an emoticon, allowing to represent not only facial expressions, but also known characters and even animals.
Here I will compile all the kaomojis or japanese emoticons that I have done so far.
